Radleigh carry out blast cleaning to both ferrous and non-ferrous fabrications using chilled iron grit and aluminium oxide respectively. The process of blast cleaning is used for the preparation of the substrate to remove mill-scale and oxides, and to provide a key prior to the application of paint, thermal spray or galvanizing, where a heavier deposit of zinc is required.
More InformationIndustrial wet paint coating is the traditional method for protecting and aesthetically enhancing structures and fabrications. Radleigh carryout this process strictly in accordance within the disciplines laid down, previously in BS 5493 but now updated to, ISO 12944. ISO 12944 is the designer, specifier and paint applicator's bible for the corrosion protection of steel structures using paint systems.
More InformationWe have a versatile Powder Coating Plant which allows us to coat mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised product. All Powder Coat items are blast cleaned, or swept blast in the cases of stainless steel and galvanised pieces. Testing has taken our Powder Coat system in excess of 3000 salt spray hours.
More InformationThermal spray coating is used on smaller and intricate fabrications and can act as a replacement for galvanizing. It is applied in accordance with ISO 22093. It is also used on very large bridge structures and lighting columns for the Highways Agency. Other applications include thermal spraying of trailer chassis, chimney stacks, exhausts and silencers.
